12 SEPT 2022 Called to Order at 19:00 by President Michael Kilmurray
SECRETARY’S REPORT– Leanna Morgan read the minutes from previous meeting. Motion made to accept and approve. 1st Bobby Spencer 2nd Dick Weston. Approved by all.
TREASURER’S REPORT– Carol Leigh presented account status and list of bills for payment. Motion made to pay the bills, accept and approve accounts. 1st Leanna Morgan 2nd Bobby Spencer. Approved by all.
CHIEF’S REPORT– Fire Chief Dick Weston reported 17calls ( 3 EMS 14 FIRE) Y-T-D 37 calls.
Hose testing to be done on Sept. 16 in Varna. Training on Tues. 13 Sept.
COMMITTEES:
60th ANNIV. BANQUET Rick Morgan reported a change to the original plans. Date has been changed to Saturday, 29 Oct. from 6-10 pm at the Speedsville Community Hall. Invitation mailing list is being done and replies will go to Rick.
TURNOUT GEAR- Order has been placed for 2 sets.
TRUCK REPLACEMENT– Re-furbing 1721 with a new tank and pump will cost $82,000. Carol suggested we consider looking at a new truck. Committee will research a new pumper-tanker. Carol will contact the State to see if they have a loan payment program, like we did with 1741.
APPLICATIONS of NEW MEMBERS– Andrew Gilden’s -tabled for review. Caleb Harding’s- tabled for review. Travis Gregrow has retired from USMC and re-activated his membership here.
COMMUNICATIONS-Town Supervisor Mark Whitmer has inquired about the fire station lights and Mike Kilmurray told him that all lights have been changed, earlier this year.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS-Horseshoe League annual banquet was held and a great time for all. Thanks to Carol and all of the other helpers doing food prep and the chicken BBQ workers did a great job, as well.
NEW BUSINESS– Budget meeting needs to be held soon, it is due by 14 Oct. Mike will set it up.
Mike will update the company telephone contact list. New defibrillator pads need to be ordered.
President adjourned meeting at 20:32. Emergency call occurred during the meeting.
