10 OCT 2022Called to Order at 19:00 by President Michael Kilmurray
SECRETARY’S REPORT– Leanna Morgan read the minutes from previous meeting. Motion made to accept and approve. 1st Dick Weston 2nd Rick Morgan. Approved by all.
TREASURER’S REPORT– Carol Leigh presented account status and list of bills for payment. Motion made to pay the bills, accept and approve the accounts and transfer money to account for Banquet. 1st Leanna Morgan 2nd Rick Morgan. Approved by all.
CHIEF’S REPORT– Fire Chief Dick Weston reported 5 calls (2 EMS 3 FIRE) Y-T-D 48 calls.
COMMITTEES:
60th ANNIV. BANQUET Rick Morgan is working on the Invitation List, replies are due back to him by 15 Oct. Banquet will be on Saturday, 29 Oct. from 6-10 pm at the Speedsville Community Hall.
TURNOUT GEAR- Order has been placed for 2 sets. Due in early December.
TRUCK REPLACEMENT– Carol has inquired with NY State about their 2% loan program for truck financing. She needs the estimated price and detailed specs for the paperwork. She asked Mike Kilmurray to work on a grant request.
APPLICATIONS of NEW MEMBERS– None
COMMUNICATIONS-None
UNFINISHED BUSINESS- Insurance beneficiary forms are available for members to fill out.
NEW BUSINESS– Halloween “Trunk or Treat” will be held on Oct. 31 from 5 to 8pm. Rick and Leanna Morgan will take a truck to the Speedsville Park and provide some candy for the kids.
Carol, Mike and Doug Keefe installed the new computer equipment in the Office and created a computer training station in the Meeting Room. Carol says we need to purchase new Microsoft Office for $40 to download for the new equipment. Software purchase approved by all.
Furnace is due for annual cleaning. Carol will call Scott Smith to schedule a maintenance check.
Caroline Supervisor Mark Witmer presented information concerning efforts to explore the interest in having a community based geothermal heating / cooling system. SCHA Pres. Pat Jordan has initiated this feasibility study, along with forms to be completed by anyone interested.
President Mike Kilmurray adjourned meeting at 20:00.
